The Austrian EU-Platform of Non-Governmental Development Organisations is
looking for a

Project Coordinator

for the 'Regional Partnership Programme for development co-operation' based
in
Vienna, Austria, starting in May, 2005 for a period of three years.
The Regional Partnership Programme is implemented by the Austrian
EU-Platform in
close co-operation with the NGDO-Platforms of the Czech Republic, Slovakia,
Hungary and Slovenia. The overall goal of the Regional Partnership Programme
is to
strengthen the capacities and the visibility of development co-operation in
the
participating Central European Countries.
The activities include seminars and dialogue meetings involving NGDOs and
governmental structures in the participating countries, providing resources
for the
NGDO platforms in the New Member States, and implementation of Pilot
Programmes in the areas of development co-operation and development
awareness
by consortia of Austrian NGDOs with New Member States NGDOs.

Responsibilities of the Coordinator:
- Co-ordination of the dialogue and the exchange of experiences of the
participating NGO-platforms
- Facilitating the work of the Committees, set up in the frame of the
Regional
Partnership Programme
- Organizational back up of the respective programme components, especially
the processes involved in the selection and implementation of the pilot
projects
- Development of adequate planning and monitoring instruments
- Administering the finances and reporting
- Documentation and systematization of the experiences
- Dialogue with other relevant programmes and initiatives (e.g. TRIALOG)
- Support to the participating NGO platforms and NGOs
- Communication, PR and media work
Besides the necessary professional qualifications fluency in English and
German is
required.
