[phd.students.socioeco] D4/D5/EA Writing Group--Mark your calendars!

Good Morning All!

Thanks to those who responded to the Doodle poll to indicate your 
availability for a peer review session this semester.

Based on the responses, we will meet:
*Thursday December 6, 1.00 PM *
D5, room TBA.

*If you want to participate, please email your draft, in Word format, to:**
**ahartell at gmail.com*
*No later than Thursday, November 26*

to give your colleagues adequate time to work through your draft. In 
your email please include a short note about any particular things you 
really would like help with (general structure and flow, where you could 
cut content in a paper that is too long, where you could expand the 
paper, etc).

"Drafts" can be academic papers, abstracts you plan to submit for a 
conference, your Research Proposal--basically anything you are writing 
up that is connected to your research. Bring your first, rough attempt 
to get it down, or your final draft you are ready to fix up. Or anything 
in between. In the exchange, we will distribute all the drafts to all 
participants, but ask each participant be responsible for providing 
detailed feedback for ONE of the drafts.

This is an opportunity to get constructive feedback, practice your peer 
reviewing skills, trade ideas for getting thru the writing process, and 
learn about your colleagues' research. And of course, anyone is welcome 
to participate (whether you responded to the poll or not).
