Linux -- Free Software, open standards, GNU/Linux

About Linux

Mailing list for questions, tips and discussions regarding Free Software and Open Standards in general.

GNU/Linux, OpenOffice, Firefox, Thunderbird, LaTeX, BibTeX, R, GNU/Octave, and all other software which grants the 4 freedoms are the main focus, independently of the operating system they are run on.

This list cannot guarantee support, but the community has hints for most questions on how to find more information.

News about FLOSS (free and libre open source software) are welcome. Occasional messages about like-minded topics (freedom of research, privacy, etc) accepted, too.

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the Linux Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
