Liebe Studierende,

da in Österreich aktuell sehr viel über den Coronavirus (COVID-19) berichtet wird, wollen wir euch an die allgemeinen Hygienestandards und Gesundheitsrichtlinien erinnern:


·         Händewaschen mit Seife mehrmals täglich (mind. 20sek einseifen)

·         Desinfektion der Hände mehrmals täglich

·         Direkten Kontakt vermeiden zu kranken Personen

Sollten Symptome wie Fieber, Husten, Kurzatmigkeit auftreten, gelten folgende Verhaltensweisen:


·         Bleiben Sie zu Hause

·         Kontaktieren Sie die Notrufnummer 144 oder die Wiener Gesundheitshotline 1450 & folgt den Anweisungen der Ärzte

·         Besuchen Sie keine Vorlesungen an der Universität oder andere öffentliche Veranstaltungen

·         Halten Sie sich an die Nies- und Schnäuzetiquette

Wir beobachten die Situation genau und halten uns an die Vorgaben der österreichischen und europäischen Behörden. Sollten weitere Maßnahmen notwendig sein, informieren wir euch natürlich sofort per Mail.

Dear students,

especially in light of the current COVID-19 situation worldwide we remind you of the general hygiene standards and health guidelines:
- Wash your hands several times a day with soap and water.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue (not with your hands) if you cough or sneeze.
- Avoid direct contact with anyone appearing to suffer from the flu.

If you should experience symptoms like fever, cough, shortness of breath, breathing difficulties or if you need medical help in general the following recommendations apply:
- Stay at home - and do absolutely not attend any sessions, events, lectures at university or any other public events.
- Contact emergency number 144 or the Viennese health hotline 1450. You can also find phone numbers of doctors close to your accommodation on the following website: https://www.praxisplan.at/ .
- Inform the health services about recent trips and follow further instructions from your doctor.
- You will then receive further advice, which you should follow carefully.
- If you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or the crook of your arm (not with your hands); dispose of the tissue immediately and wash your hands afterwards.


We are closely monitoring the situation on hand and comply with the regulations issued by the Austrian and European authorities. Of course we will inform you, if any additional measures should become necessary.
