[Wu-studierende] Übersiedlung der WU-Bibliothek

Liebe Studierende,

die WU-Bibliothek übersiedelt über den Sommer 2013 mit ihren 800.000 Printmedien, das sind 21 km Literatur, auf den neuen Campus. Umzugsbedingt gibt es geänderte Servicezeiten und eine Schließzeit. Diese E-Mail informiert Sie über alle Details, damit Sie rechtzeitig Sommer-Studierzeiten planen können. Öffnungszeiten:
01.07.-19.07.2013 Mo-Fr 09:00 bis 16:00 Uhr
22.07.-09.08.2013 Mo-Fr 09:00 bis 12:00 Uhr
Von 12.08.-27.09. 2013 ist die Universitätsbibliothek geschlossen.

Entlehnung/Benutzung:
Um Ihnen benötigte Literatur über den Sommer zur Verfügung zu stellen, gelten ab 01.07.2013 für alle entlehnten Bücher ausgeweitete Entlehnfristen bis 10.10.2013. Zusätzlich können Sie ab 01.07.2013 aus dem Freihandbereich anstatt wie bisher 5 nun 8 Werke gleichzeitig entlehnen. Bitte planen Sie Ihre Ausleihen rechtzeitig. Informationen über die Zugänglichkeit von Medien und letzte Entlehn-/Benutzungsmöglichkeiten finden Sie auch unter dem Link: www.wu.ac.at/library/oeffnung_sommer<http://www.wu.ac.at/library/oeffnung_sommer>

Rückgabemöglichkeiten:
Während der umzugsbedingten Schließzeit können jederzeit Werke retour gegeben werden.
12.08.-23.08.2013 am alten WU Campus  mittels Rückgabebox im EG des UZA1
Jeden Dienstag und Donnerstag von 10.00-12.00 Uhr am Bibliotheksschalter.
26.08.-27.09.2013 am neuen WU Campus mittels Rückgabebox am Bibliothekseingang im LC (Library and Learning Center).
Jeden Dienstag und Donnerstag von 10.00-12.00 Uhr am Bibliotheksempfang im LC.

Elektronische Ressourcen:
In der Schließzeit können Sie natürlich den überwiegenden Teil unserer elektronischen Ressourcen (Datenbanken<http://www.wu.ac.at/library/search/databases/>, E-Books<http://www.wu.ac.at/library/search/e-books>, E-Journals<http://www.wu.ac.at/library/search/e-journals>) nutzen. Zugriff haben Sie am Campus und von außerhalb per Fernzugriff (www.wu.ac.at/it/instructions/vpn<http://www.wu.ac.at/it/instructions/vpn>). Online-Materialien zur Recherche und Nutzung von elektronischen Ressourcen finden Sie im eLearning-Angebot der Universitätsbibliothek<https://learn.wu.ac.at/student-support/informationskompetenz>. Die zugangsbeschränkten Datenbanken, die nur an den beiden Rechercheterminals in der Bibliothek zur Verfügung stehen, können zwischen 12.08.2013 und 27.09.2013 nicht genutzt werden.

Fernleihe & Documet Delivery:
Von 22.07.2013-29.09.2013 sind keine Bestellungen über Fernleihe und Document Delivery möglich.

Lernplätze, Computerarbeitsplätze:
Lern- und Arbeitsplätze werden im UZA 1 im Juli und August weitgehend noch zur Verfügung stehen. Ab September können die Lern- und Arbeitsplätze am neuen Campus genutzt werden. Computerarbeitsplätze stehen in den IT-Schulungsräume im UZA 2 bis Ende September zur Verfügung.

Bibliothekseröffnung am neuen Campus:
Am 30.09.2013 werden alle Bibliotheken am neuen WU Campus öffnen!
Das Bibliothekszentrum mit 1.500 Studierendenplätzen im Library & Learning Center und die Bibliotheken Recht, Sozialwissenschaften und Wirtschaftssprachen.

Wir freuen uns sehr darauf, Sie ab 30. September 2013 am neuen Campus begrüßen zu dürfen.

Dear students,

During summer 2013 WU Library is relocating to the new Campus. This means that we are moving 800.000 printed items (about 21 kilometers) to their new home. Due to the move there will be changed opening and service hours as well as a closing period. This e-mail informs you about the details so that you can plan ahead. Opening hours
01.07.-19.07.2013 Mon-Fri 9am to 4pm
22.07.-09.08.2013 Mon-Fri 9am to 12 noon
>From August 12 to September 27, the main library will be closed for relocation.

Loans/Reader service
In order to provide you with literature during the summer, extended borrowing periods will be in place from July 1. For all books borrowed from July 1, the loan period will end on October 10. In addition the amount of books which can be borrowed from the open shelf collection will be raised to 8 instead of 5 items. Please remember to plan your loans accordingly. Book return
Even if WU Library is closed it will be possible to return books.
12.08.-23.08.2013 on the old WU Campus using the book drop located in ground floor in UZA1.
Each Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 12 noon at the Library desk.
26.08.-27.09.2013 on the new WU Campus using the book drop located in the LC entrance hall.
Each Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 12 noon at the Library front desk in the LC building.

Electronic resources
During the closing period you can, of course, use most of our electronic resources (databases<http://www.wu.ac.at/library/en/search/databases>, e-books<http://www.wu.ac.at/library/en/search/e-books>, e-journals<http://www.wu.ac.at/library/en/search/e-journals>). You can use these resources on Campus or, if you are off campus use the remote access via VPN<http://www.wu.ac.at/it/en/instructions/vpn>. The databases with restricted access which are located within the library premises cannot be used between 12.08.2013 and 27.09.2013.

Inter-library loan & Document delivery
Inter-library loan and document delivery services will be closed from 22.07.2013 until 29.09.2013.

Learning spaces & computer usage
Most of the learning spaces in the WU main building (UZA 1) will remain available to you in July and August. From September 2 learning spaces will be available on the new Campus.
The PC labs in building UZA 2 will be available as alternative learning rooms until the end of September.

Research consultation, contact
The team of our research consultation service<http://www.wu.ac.at/library/en/service/consultation> will still support via email you during the closing period.

Library reopening on the new campus
>From September 30, all libraries will be available on the new campus!
The Central Library which offers 1.500 study places located in the Library & Learning Center and the Libraries for Law, Social Sciences and Business Languages.
