[Wu-studierende.opt] Umstellung VPN-Verbindung - VPN Connection Change

Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,

heute wurde der VPN-Zugang zur WU auf eine neue Software umgestellt. Der neue Software-Client heißt GlobalProtect von Palo Alto Networks. Abhängig von Ihrem Betriebssystem können Sie den GlobalProtect-Client entweder aus einem App-Store herunterladen oder über Systeme der WU beziehen.

Installation auf Ihrem Privatgerät

Der GlobalProtect VPN-Client kann für Windows und Mac OS unter https://vpn.wu.ac.at<https://vpn.wu.ac.at/> heruntergeladen werden.

Alternativ können Sie die Installationsdateien für Windows, MAC OSX sowie Linux im Controlpanel herunterladen: https://controlpanel.wu.ac.at<https://controlpanel.wu.ac.at/>

Klicken Sie auf > Weitere WU-Services > VPN an der WU, um zur Downloadübersicht zu gelangen.

Für andere Betriebssysteme (Android, iOS) erhalten Sie die App "GlobalProtect" von Palo Alto Networks im jeweiligen App Store.

Tipp für App Stores: Suchen Sie nach "GobalProtect" (ohne Leerzeichen) und verwenden Sie die neueste Version des Herstellers Palo Alto Networks.

Dear Sir or Madam,

Today, VPN access to WU was switched to new software. The new VPN client is called GlobalProtect from Palo Alto Networks. Depending on your operating system, you can either download the GlobalProtect client from App Stores or obtain it from WU systems.

Installation on your private device

The GlobalProtect VPN client for Windows and Mac OS can be downloaded from https://vpn.wu.ac.at<https://vpn.wu.ac.at/>.

Alternatively, you can download the installation files for Windows, MAC OSX and Linux from the Controlpanel application: https://controlpanel.wu.ac.at<https://controlpanel.wu.ac.at/>

Click > Other WU services > VPN at WU, in order to get to the download page.

For mobile operating systems like Android and iOS please check the respective App Store for "GlobalProtect" from Palo Alto Networks.

Hint for App Stores: Search for "GobalProtect" (without spaces) and use the latest version developed by Palo Alto Networks.
