Liebe KollegInnen,

Gerne möchten wir Sie noch einmal auf unseren Gastvortrag  „Business Unusual – How companies can successfully embed social purpose in their business models” aufmerksam machen und Sie herzliche dazu einladen, sich noch bis zum 2. Dezember zu registrieren.
Daniel Truran wird anhand von Fallstudien Möglichkeiten der konkreten Umsetzung von Konzepten wie Social Entrepreneurship und Business Model Innovation erläutern. Er geht dabei insbesondere auf Herausforderungen und Erfolgsfaktoren ein, die ausschlaggebend für die Integration von sozialer Verantwortung und Profitorientierung sein können. Beispielhaft stellt er die B Corporation Bewegung vor, ein weltweites Netzwerk von ca. 1.500 Unternehmen, die unternehmerischen Erfolg auch als das Erreichen positiver sozialer Wirkungen definieren.

Anschließend werden a. Prof. Andre Martinuzzi, Institutsleiter des WU Institute for Managing Sustainability, und Christoph Riess, Studierender im Master Management an der WU & Vorstand von oikos Vienna, den Gastvortrag gemeinsam mit Daniel Truran und dem Publikum reflektieren. Moderiert wird das Panel von Norma Schönherr, Projektmanagerin am WU Institute for Managing Sustainability.

We would like to kindly remind you to join us for a highly inspiring guest lecture „Business Unusual – how companies can successfully embed social purpose in their business models”.

In his guest lecture, Daniel Truran will use a number of case studies to illustrate challenges, opportunities and success factors for the implementation of Social Entrepreneurship and Business Model Innovation. He will introduce the B Corporation movement, a worldwide network of businesses that aims to transform business toward creating a shared prosperity for all, showing how businesses may bridge the current gap between business, the social environment and the issues that companies face.

Following the lecture, a.Prof. André Martinuzzi, Head of the WU Institute for Managing Sustainability and Christoph Riess, Member of the board of oikos Vienna, will reflect on the lecture together with Daniel Truran in an interactive panel discussion. The panel will be moderated by Norma Schönherr, Project Manager at the WU Institute for Managing Sustainability.

Please note that the lecture will take place in Room LC.0.004 Galerie.
