[phd.students.socioeco] The Economic Development Curmudgeon Speaks!

A long, but interesting read from the Curmudgeon this week. This is an
extended review of Joel ("I *heart* suburbs") Kotkin's latest book 'The
New Class Conflict'. It is very USA-centric, but there are some
interesting points about Gentry Liberalism, elite academics,
post-industrial oligarchs, climate change policy, and even, at the end,
a call for transdisciplinary work to solve society's problems. A bit
grim, but just right for this weather.
