Dear bachelor students,

Would you like to work at the heart of WU’s Department of Marketing? We are looking for a student assistant (Tutor:in) helping in the MSc Marketing program management.

You need to meet one of the following requirements (you will be tested in both languages at the interview):

a)     English native speaker + German at least B2

b)     English C2 + German at least C1

You need to be available to work at the office at WU every Tuesday afternoon. Your tasks will be in the following areas:

·        Event preparation & support (MSc kick-off, Mastersday, graduation, info sessions, etc.)

·        Scheduling & room booking (summer semester timetable, ongoing winter semester bookings)

·        Alumni & student management

·        Course administration

·        Preparing & compiling PowerPoint presentations

·        Program marketing

·        MSc website (write news posts, edit website, proof-read)


As a student assistant, you will work within the following framework:

·        8 hours/week for 5 months (from 16th September 2022 until 15th February 2023)

·        Salary: about € 440/month

·        2 weeks of paid vacation time

·        Insurance: your employment is below the so called “marginal earnings threshold” (Geringfügigkeitsgrenze). Hence, you are entitled to job-related accident insurance only.

There are two restrictions by WU:

·        You must not hold a business-related master’s degree

·        In total, you must not be employed by WU for more than 20 hours/week
