BUSINESS :
Philips Garment Care is a category in the Consumer Lifestyle Sector of Philips. Philips GC develops and markets garment care appliances, such as steam irons, system irons, and integrated boards for the global market whilst taking into consideration the local habits and practices. The consumer marketing management team drives activities related to the definition, development and introduction of products within the Philips Garment Care portfolio. It is located at the divisional headquarters in Amsterdam and cooperates with different divisions such as design, consumer care centers, innovation sites in Singapore as well as with various global clusters and with key Sales Organizations (SOs).

ASSIGNMENT :
 The intern helps in driving activities related to the definition, development and introduction of products within the Garment Care portfolio. He/she supports the translation of in depth market-, consumer- and competitive analyses into winning concepts. He/she assists the CMM/MM-team in the product development process from value proposition to market introduction. This happens in a multi- disciplinary and multi-cultural team.

CANDIDAT PROFILE :
To be successful in this internship, the intern needs to have an entrepreneurial attitude and show commercial, analytical and interpersonal skills. He/she combines a strong market- and consumer drive with product and industrial affinity and creativity. The intern is also an excellent communicator, with keenness to convince others. The intern needs to be skilled in and comfortable with analyzing data and needs to have strong analytical skills.  Because of the multi-disciplinary teams, he/she needs to have a broad interest in various fields of activity. He/she has good planning and organization skills and is able to balance strategic thinking with a “hands on” approach. He/she has growth potential and the ambition to play on world-class level.

DURATION :
Internship : 6 to 12 months, starting Jan 2014

 EDUCATION / DEGREE:
·         Top European Business School/University Degree
·         International profile : Fluent in English
·         Affinity to work on Microsoft Office softwares (Powerpoint, Excel)
