[Bakk-imm] Research Help needed

Dear all,

for a research project, we are seeking your help. Here are some details:

we are currently working on a research project focusing on "ethnic identity and purchasing behavior". Ethnic identity describes a person's feeling and perception of being part of a group of people whose customs, value and attitudes he/she shares. From a research perspective, it becomes relevant, when a person's ethnic identity is not related to its current nationality/citizenship (e.g., Indians being born and raised in the UK would describe their ethnic identity as Indian, while having a British passport).

In the Austrian context, we are focusing on Austrians with a Turkish ethnic background, as this group of people is among the largest groups with a distinct ethnic background in Austria. We have been doing interviews with this target group in Vienna already, but we need more variety in our sample.

What can you do?

If you know someone, who

-          Has an ethnic (Turkish) background

-          speaks German fluently, has lived most of his/her life here and

-          Is from outside Vienna

We would highly appreciate

-          If you get us in contact with them (=> "finder's fee for you") or

-           You do an interview with them along an existing interview guideline (paid by transcript)

If you would like to make a bachelor thesis out of it, that would be fine too!
